3D Race Game Prototype

  • The Game prototype was made with a team of 12students with 2designers including me, this model was made together with the other designer.

Gameplay

A race game where you collect ingredients when going through the colored cubes, shake your switch controller to transform them into dishes, whenever you pass the finish line the dishes you made becomes point, after 3turns the one with the most points wins.

Challenge

The planner for this project asked us about making differents assets for the map including some dango, some japanese sweets, But what took the longest was the character. At first a human model was made but we later switched to a robot and had to remake a character. Rigging took a long time especially the foot of the robot where the wheel is.

Rigging

In the end we handled the rotation of the wheel direclty in Maya and included it in the animation when we could also have handled it on Unity.
